Ms. Felicia Carter is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with Full Practice Authority in Illinois, she is qualified to provide primary care and psychiatry services, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication prescription for individuals of all ages, from children to adults. She specializes in a range of mental health conditions, such as Depression, Anxiety, Adjusted Mood Disorder, PTSD, and Bipolar. Ms. Carter offers both traditional and alternative styles of practice, incorporating healthy lifestyle and Holistic Healing approaches. She strongly believes in the mind-body-spiritual connection, which she considers essential to achieving overall wellness, in line with the principles of Hippocrates, the "Father of Medicine."
Ms. Carter pursued her education at Saint Xavier University, where she earned a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. She continued her graduate studies at Olivet Nazarene University, graduating with a Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
With over twenty-one years of experience in the medical field, Ms. Carter has worked across various practice areas, including psychiatric care, family practice, gynecology, surgical, neurology, pediatric/pediatric intensive care unit/neonatal intensive care unit, IV infusion, and high-risk complex home visits. Although her expertise mainly focuses on family practice and psychiatry, Ms. Carter has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults, and she enjoys working with individuals of all age groups.
Apart from her work, Ms. Carter enjoys reading, writing, and spending quality time with her family. Additionally, she has always been passionate about serving underprivileged areas through her Ministry of Love, a long-time hobby that she continues to pursue.
